'Tis the Season for Chex Cereal

Wheat chex, corn chex or rice chex......use them one or use them all, but let's face it, this cereal can be used in so many ways.

There's the traditional Chex Mix or Puppy Chow but some days I prefer to add a new twist to the old flavor.

Butterscotch Chex Mix

It is so quick and easy to make.

Jazz it up with M & Ms, peanuts or white chocolate chips.

Melt one package of butterscotch chips and one cup of creamy peanut butter in a microwave safe dish. Do this at 30 second intervals, stirring every time.

While it is melting, line a cookie sheet with wax paper. Pour your chex cereal into a large bowl. When the mixture is melted, pour it on the chex cereal and stir until it's all coated evenly.

Dump onto the cookie sheet.

Sprinkle on chcolate chips. For an added twist, I added some toffee bits.
