Hunk of Meat Mondays: Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta

Ground Beef.....

Each year we get a beef butchered so we can have meat at our fingertips. And each year, I clean out the freezer with what was left over from the previous year to use up.

And each year, I have the same thing leftover.

Ground Beef.

Sometimes I feel as though I run out of meal ideas for ground beef. I even give 6 to 10 lbs to my babysitter once a month - just to help me get throught it faster. Plus I know what beef my children are eating.

Let's face it - we eventually get tired of casseroles and hamburger and tacos and spaghetti and we go searching for something different.

I found it. Something different. A crowd pleaser.

Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta.

It's so easy. Cook your pasta according to the package directions. I used bowtie pasta, but you could use whatever pasta your family prefers.

While your pasta is cooking, brown your ground beef until it is no longer pink in a large skillet. Drain and set aside.

Oh and buy one of those utensils up above from your nearest Pampered Chef dealer. It's called a Mix-n-chop and it is awesome!

Make a note right now - buy a mix-n-chop. Browing hamburger will never be the same!

In the same skillet you used for the hamburger, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towel and discard the pan drippings.

Or save the pan drippings and throw in a tablespoon the next time you fry potatoes! Hey - we all will eventually leave this world because of something. Why not enjoy life!

Drain your pasta and add to the skillet.

Add the soup, beef, bacon, canned tomatoes and heat through. Sprinkle with cheese. I used Velveeta and Monterey Jack but you could use any kind of cheese. Imagine smoked gouda. YUM!

Cover and cook until the cheese is melted.

I served this with homemade texas toast. Enjoy!

  1. Love that you put bacon in this. Looks like the kind of meal that will stick to your ribs, and I like that!
